If it’s true that life is all about who you know, then it stands to reason that we should put a high value on our ability to meet and connect with people. That means CONVERSATION!
I read this article today entitled 7 Keys to a Flawless Conversation. One of the tips listed is to end the conversation smoothly. I really liked this one, because sometimes when the conversation is ending naturally, it’s difficult to know how to move on and talk to someone else.
Another suggestion in the article is to begin with a question. A person enjoys being made to feel important and asking questions is one way to do that.
This list reminded me of the book How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, which is an amazing book for human relations. If you haven’t read it yet, get yourself out to a bookstore or library and have a read! It’s so great.
These two resources alone will help you interact more effectively with the people around you. Let me know what you think!
